It’s that time of year when crazy parents think it’s a ‘good’ idea to move a toy elf around the house from the 1st December until 24th December, causing chaos and mess everywhere! This is actually the first year of doing it (why have I started this?!) and I thought I’d share some of the easy & quick things ‘Bernie the Elf’ has been up to.
So Bernie arrived on the 1st December, with a note explaining why he was here, advent calendars for us all & he’d set the table to join him for breakfast. (excuse the stickers on the table, nowhere is safe from Reuben’s love of them)
He’s also been in the kitchen using items out of the cupboard to climb up on to the side to eat alllll the chocolate. This was my little boy’s favourite one, he couldn’t stop laughing.
Another easy idea is purchasing some Christmas stickers (super cheap in Home Bargains, Poundland, Wilkos etc etc) and pretending the Elf has stuck them all over himself/herself & some toys!
Next up the Elf used Pipe Cleaners to turn the toys into ‘Reindeers’ and sat on a Dump truck as his sleigh. Use mini marshmallows to look like snow too!
SNOWBALL FIGHTTTTTTT (using Marshmallows), Elf Vs whatever toy you fancy. I chose Mummy Pig, because she’s incredible and would defo win.
Finally, Bernie the Elf decided to stick random socks all over the tree!
There we have it, a few quick & easy Elf on the Shelf ideas. It doesn’t have to be stressful if you just use what you have around the house!
Thanks for reading, hope you got some inspo from this post! Merry Christmas, love Naomi xx
